Purpose
The switching modules of the explosion-proof type MKV are intended for the distribution of electrical energy and the protection of power and lighting electrical networks of alternating and direct current electrical installations of chemical, gas, oil and other industries.

• The possibility of installing cable glands not only on the top and bottom of the input boxes, but also on the sides, provides versatility and ease of connection of the MCA.

Design
Explosion-proof switching modules consist of a switching unit and an input / output unit. In the switching section there are automatic switches, which are turned on and off by a handle located on the outside of the enclosure. Modules of type MKV2, MKV3, MKV4 have input and output boxes, and MKV1 have one input and output box. The cable entries of the modules provide entry and sealing of openly laid round cables with plastic and rubber insulation in plastic, rubber or lead sheaths, both with copper and with aluminum multi-wire and single-wire round conductors. Modules of the type MKV allow the possibility of summing up a flexible or armored cable with a diameter from 12mm to 29mm.

Module terminals allow the connection of wires with a cross section from 6 mm2 to 16 mm2. Modules have:
- internal and external bolts (clips) of grounding and allow the connection of two copper or steel conductors with a cross section of up to 6 mm2 each.
- zero working (N) and zero protective terminals (PE), isolated from each other and from the grounded parts of the module and designed for connection of two, terminated with lugs, copper or steel conductors with a cross section (6.. .16) mm2. The working position of the modules on the vertical plane, the inscription "I" on the module case up and to the left or right 90 degrees.
